Freshford United’s hopes of lifting the Somerset Junior Cup for a second time was ended by Mid Somerset, Premier Division side Coleford Athletic.

Freshford who tasted cup success back in 2011 when they beat Middlezoy Rovers 1-0 suffered a 3-0 home loss.

COLLEGIANS RECEIVE ANOTHER WALKOVER

Frome Collegians AFC will be thinking that nobody wants to play them in the Somerset Junior Cup, Karl Freeman and James Goddard-Wellon’s side received a walkover in the previous round when opponents Glastonbury Reserves withdrew from the competition.

For a second successive round Collegians received a walkover, scheduled opponents Ilminster Reserves who ply their trade in the Perry Street & District League, Premier division being unable to raise a team for the trip to Frome.
