SEEND BEAT COLLEGIANS TO MOVE TOP
Defending, Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge League, Division One, Champions, Seend United took a huge step to retaining their title after a 4-0 victory over a Frome Collegians side who they beat by the same score line in their Knockout Cup semi-final meeting last weekend.
The victory for Andy Dyer’s side coupled with a 3-1 loss for Semington Magpies at home to Heytesbury & Codford means that Seend now top the table and have at least 5 matches in hand on the chasing pack.
Arthur Dolan set Seend on their way and he doubled the hosts advantage before Matt Purdy found the net to give the villagers a 3-0 half time lead.
Kieran Higdon’s second half effort sealed win number 13 of the season for Seend who will be odds on to clinch back to back titles.
Semington Magpies FC 1 Heytesbury & Codford FC 3
DEFEAT SEE’S MAGPIES DROP TO SECOND
After spending much of the season at the top of the table, Semington Magpie FC have seen their title challenge all but disappear, a 3-1 defeat at home to Heytesbury & Codford FC saw them lose for a second successive weekend, which saw them drop to second place.
After taking the lead through Spencer Frisby, Magpies found themselves 2-1 down at the break, goals from Kaicy Peniston and Jordan Leverett putting the visitors to Little Marsh on top.
The points were made safe after the break, thanks to a second of the afternoon from Leverett.
FC Devizes United 7 The Stiffs FC 1
WEBSTER NETS 5 AS DEVIZES BEAT STIFFS
The Stiffs FC were unable to capture their Tuesday evening from that saw them beat Melksham Town Development 5-3 when they travelled to Goatacre for a meeting with A&B and Knockout Cup finalists FC Devizes United.
Oscar Webster and Louie Lang were tormentors in chief as they shared the victors 7 goals, Lang who opened the scoring scored twice his second of the afternoon sandwiched the first of 4 first half goals from Webster.
Billy Simpson missed a penalty for The Stiffs before Nick Joyce scored from the spot to give the visitors their consolation.
Oscar Webster completed the scoring with his fifth of the afternoon.

HOLT KEEP TOP 3 HOPES ALIVE
With no victory from their last four league outings, Nigel Tripp’s Holt side saw their hopes of gaining a top 3 finish all but disappear, however with results going their way, coupled with a 7-0 home win over Hilperton Greyhound FC they are back in with an outside chance of taking third place.
Jordan Smith’s 21st minute effort for the hosts separated the teams at the break and it would be fair to say that Hilperton were in the game until the the hour mark and then the floodgates opened.
Jamie Morris doubled Holt’s lead in the 63rd minute, a few minutes later Robbie Tripp added their third.
Jacob Nsirim who came off the bench slotted home number 5 in the 76th minute and this was after Robbie Tripp had netted his second of the afternoon, 4 minutes earlier to make it 4-0.
Harry Gunning added number 6 in the 84th minute and a second from substitute, Jacob Nsirim a minute from time made up the winners magnificent 7.

MELKSHAM BOUNCE BACK FROM STIFFS LOSS
Having suffered a 5-3 defeat against bottom of the table The Stiffs on Tuesday evening (See Below) Melksham Town Development FC returned to winning ways with a 4-0 triumph over Freshford United FC at their Oakfield base.
An own goal on 20 minutes saw Melksham take a 1-0 lead into the second half.
Freshford held out until the 77th minute when Aaron Masson made it 2-0, Deyshon Allison added number 3 on 81 minutes and the final goal arrived on 90 minutes when Dean Kamunga scored from the penalty spot.

STIFFS STUN MELKSHAM DEVELOPMENT
Basement side The Stiffs FC made the short trip to Oaklands on TUESDAY evening for a meeting with a Melksham Town Development FC side who were chasing a top 3 finish.
The Stiffs tore up the formbook as a 5-3 win saw them upset the odds and avenge their 2-0 loss from earlier in the season.
Billy Simpson saw his FIRST minute opener for the Stiffs cancelled out in the 14th minute as a Cameron Pearce goal drew the teams level.
Stiffs regained the lead 5, minutes later, Jon Horwood putting the visitors 2-1 and things got better for George Hartrey’s side as a Nick Joyce effort on 41 minutes, gave them a 3-1 half time lead.
Melksham came back strongly in the second half and goals for Joash Davis (55 minutes) and Louis Adams a minute later made it 3 apiece.
Tom Wilkes’ 73rd minute strike saw the Stiffs regain the lead and they sealed maximum points when Lewis Baldwin added their fifth in the 86th minute, 3 minutes after Melksham had Kurt Baston red carded.
