Freshford United FC 2 Bishops Cannings Reserves FC 2

When Freshford United Reserves FC and Bishops Cannings Reserves FC met in Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge & District League, Second Division earlier in the season, the teams shared 8 goals and the points following a thrilling 4-4 stalemate.

It was a case of de-ja-vu in the reverse fixture, only four goals may have been scored but a 2-0 draw meant that the points were shared for a second time.

For, Bishops Cannings it was their final league out of the campaign and after taking a 13th minute lead courtesy of Lewis Hiscok they were hopeful of finishing with a win.

Freshford had other ideas and a 23rd minute equaliser from Andrea Pintore took the teams in to half time on level terms.

Will Heron fired Freshford ahead in the 60th minute, however the villagers had to settle for a share of the points as Sam Brewer scored from the penalty spot on 71 minutes to level things up.


Pilot FC 0 Avon Valley FC 5

Jamie Hinton’s goal separated the teams at the break.

Ryan McShane double the lead and Luke Conley added a third before Marcus Read and then a second of the afternoon from Conley that took his tally to 14 completed Valley’s afternoon’s work.


South Newton & Barford Hornets FC 0 Durrington FC 5

Second division CHAMPIONS Durrington FC visited local rivals South Newton & Barford Hornets FC and as expected collected maximum points from a Hornets side for whom it was their final league match of the season.

Durrington led 3-0 at the interval through an own goal and efforts from Tyler Pavey and Lewis Stafford who opened the scoring.

The second half saw Tyler Pavey fire home his 25th goal of the league campaign before manager Jack Jenkins marked his debut as got his name on the score sheet with the final goal of the game.


Trowbridge Town Tigers FC 5 Bromham FC 2

A week after they suffered a 2-0 loss away at Bromham FC, Tim Brown’s Trowbridge Town Tigers FC side avenged that defeat wit ha 5-2 victory of their own.

Liam Pritchard, Callum McNamee and Ousmane Karim netted to give the Tigers a 3-0 interval lead.

A second for Ousmane Karim made it 4-0 before Harry Blower and Tyler Beattie scored for Bromham to halve the deficit.

Bromham were unable to complete what would have been an incredible fightback and any lingering hopes they had of getting back in the game was ended by Callum McNamee whose second of the afternoon wrapped up the revenge win for the Tigers.
