A&B CUP SEMI FINALS – ROUND UP

Holt FC 0 Seend United FC 4

A month on from their 4-0 victory over Holt FC in the Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge League, Division One encounter, Andy Dyer took his treble chasing Seend United FC back to Holt for their PAH Accounting sponsored A&B Cup semi-final meeting with Nigel Tripp’s side.

The outcome was a repeat of their league meeting, however Seend left it very late before putting the game to bed, with 3 goals in the finals 10 minute wrapping up a 4-0 triumph.

In what was an entertaining contest both teams had chances to break the deadlock before Gary Higdon scored from a Matt Purdy assist to give Seend the lead on 44 minutes and this was moments after Holt had gone close with an effort of their own.

The second ebbed and flowed before Jordan Evans doubled Seend’s lead in the 80th minute. Two minutes later Jack Woolgrove’s thunderbolt made it 3-0 and in the second minute of added time Kieran Higden completed the scoring again a holt side who finished the match with 10 players after they had Joseph Bakali-Laughton red carded late on.
