DURRINGTON WIN BIG TO CLAIM TITLE
Jack Jenkins has guided his Durrington FC side to the first piece of silverware this season, the Salisbury based side new to the league this season were crowned Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge & District League, Second Division CHAMPIONS following their 9-1 demolition of Bishops Cannings Reserves FC.
Durrington who have been the dominant team in the division and who had only dropped 2 points prior to the visit of a Cannings side who they had beaten 12-1 back in September got to a flyer as they took the lead after only 2 minutes.
Cannings replied on 36 minutes through Lewis Hawkins but that was just a consolation as the hosts scored again in the 42nd and 45th minutes to lead 3-1 at the break.
Durrington ran riot in the second half as they bagged 6 unanswered goals to claim their 9-1 triumph and with it the first silverware of the season.
Top scorer Tyler Pavey scored a hat trick to take his tally of league goals to 23, Olly Mason claimed a double while Lewis Stafford, Danny Finnigan, Toby Hoskins and Aiden Fitzgerald added the others.

VALLEY LOOKING GOOD FOR SECOND PLACE
A 5-2 victory for Avon Valley FC at home to Trowbridge Wanderers FC leaves them in pole position to finish as runners up to newly crowned champions Durrington.
Luke Conley gave the boys from the Valley the lead in the 1st minutes, but parity was restored by Nick Mead whose 25 yard wonder volley on 13 minutes levelled things up. A second from Conley saw the hosts regain the lead prior to the interval.
The second half saw Luke Conley complete his hat trick and Marcus Read net before Kyle McGuire came of the bench to score his first ever Wanderers goal in the 83rd minute, but a couple of minutes later Jamie Hinton wrapped up the 5-2 win for Wes Hardy’s side.

TIGERS BEATEN BY WALLIS DOUBLE
A 2-0 victory for Bromham FC at home to Trowbridge Town Tigers FC saw the visitors suffer a first defeat in seven outings.
In what was a battle between two really good teams, it was Bromham who got their noses in front.
After a goalless first half Sam Wallis headed the villagers ahead and this was after Toby Wallis had what would have been his first ever goal in Senior football ruled out due to Caleb Engerfield being offside.
Sam Wallis then wrapped the points with his second of the afternoon, Tyler Beattie won a penalty for the hosts and Wallis stepped up and just squeezed the ball home for 2-0.
Pilot FC 1 South Newton & Barford Hornets FC 6
HORNETS STING PILOT FOR A SECOND TIME
Joshua Jacques scored on his return to Pilot FC however his goal was just a consolation as for a second time this year South Newton & Barford Hornets FC won the battle of the basement sides.
A 2-1 win back in January gave Hornets the spoils on this occasion the visitors to Melksham romped to a 6-1 win.
Ejay Smith scored a 3-timer, Tobie Keel netted twice with a first goal from Greg Moss making up the half dozen.
Staverton Rangers FC 1 Calne Athletic FC 10
CALNE HIT RANGERS FOR 10
Calne Athletic FC who defeated Staverton Rangers FC 3-1 back in January found their scoring boots in the reverse fixture as they thumped their hosts 10-1 to hold onto the third spot in the standings.
Mark Dolman, Adam Richards, Archie Green, Ewan McConnachie and Aidan Hawkins were on target in the first half.
Eddie Summers with his first goal for the club, Jake Angell and a second for McConnachie made it 8-0 before Sam Adeybanjo score for Staverton.
Charlie Street and a second for Summers completed the winners 10-goal tally.
