Avon Valley FC 1 Durrington FC 2

When Durrington FC hosted Avon Valley FC back in September it was the former who claimed a 4-1 victory. Since then the two league newcomers have bossed the Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge & District League, Second Division. Durrington started the day with a 4 point lead over their local rivals but ended it 7 points clear, thanks to a 2-1 win.

Avon Valley led after 13 minutes thanks to an own goal, but Durrington restored parity though Jordan McEntee on 28 minutes.

Tyler Pavey’s 23rd goal of the campaign, 16 minutes from time proved to be the decider and gave Durrington the bragging rites over their rivals for a second time this season.


Calne Athletic FC 9 South Newton & Barford Hornets FC 0

With their own pitch at Beversbrook, Calne unplayable, Calne secured the Beeches, Shaw to host the Hornets where they romped to a 9-0 success.

Archie Green netted the opener for Calne on 8 minutes, Luca Consentino helped himself to a couple before Calne’s top scorer Ewan McConnachie struck four, that included a penalty.

Singles for Oli Anderson and Cody Haines made up the 9.


Pilot FC 2 Trowbridge Town Tigers FC 5

A run of five straight wins moved Trowbridge Town Tigers FC into the top half of the table and away at basement side Pilot FC they extended that to 6 wins courtesy of a a 5-2 triumph.

Aaron Hahnenfield, Callum McNamee and Joel Granados-Reeves scored to put the Tigers 3-0 ahead, Luke Maidment and Adam Meakin replied for Pilot to get them within touching distance prior to half time, and when Sam Parker-Gale missed a penalty, Pilot might have thought that it may just be their day.

The next goal was always going to be important and that went the way of the Tigers with Luke Thomas putting the Tigers 4-2 up. A second for Callum McNamee sealed another win for Tim Brown’s side.


Trowbridge Wanderers FC 1 Bromham FC 2

A 2-1 win for Bromham saw them complete the double over Wanderers, but they had to come from behind to claim all 3 points.

Nick Mead fired Wanderers ahead only for Archie Harris to level before half time.

Adam Butterworth conjured up a second half winner for a Bromham side who sit in fourth place in the standings, just 6 points off Avon Valley with 2 matches in hand.
