Calne Athletic FC 0 Durrington FC 2

A 2-0 victory for Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge & District League, Division Two leaders Durrington FC away at third placed Calne Athletic has seen Jack Jenkins side edge closer to securing silverware in their very first season on the league.

The win means that Durrington are now 4 points clear of second placed Avon Valley who themselves have played two more games than the leaders.

After a goalless first half an Own goal saw Durrington take the lead and the win was wrapped up when Aiden Fitzgerald fired home for 2-0.


Avon Valley FC 14 Pilot FC 1

Marcus Read scored the opening two goals for the Salisbury based, Jamie Hinton, Luke Conley, Harry Worley and Tristan Jones all netted prior to half time to put them 6-0 ahead at the break.

Harry Worley made it 7-0 before, Luke Conley’s second of the afternoon made it 8-0. Marcus Read completed his treble with goal number 9. Harry Worley was next to claim a match ball when he took it to 10-0.

Konrad Makowski, Tristian Jones netted before Ben Dyckes claimed Pilot’s consolation. Archie Stewart made it 13 unlucky for Pilot before Luke Conley sealed his 3-timer with Valley’s 14th goal of the game.


Bromham FC 4 South Newton & Barford Hornets FC 0

Bromham FC remain in with an outside chance of finishing in the top two, a 4-0 victory at home to South Newton & Barford Hornets leave Pete Wallis side 9 points adrift of Avon Valley, but with 2 matches in hand on their rivals.

Tyler Beattie gave Bromham a 1-0 half time lead.

A second for Tyler Beattie doubled the hosts advantage. Sam Wallis made it 3-0 before he claimed his second of the afternoon to wrap up victory for the villagers.


Staverton Rangers FC 3 Trowbridge Town Tigers FC 7

Lewis Harford and Sam Parker-Gale put the Tigers 2-0 in front before Dave Jenkins halved the arrears for Staverton. Callum McNamee and Joel Grandos-Reeves ensured the Staverton fightback came to nothing as they netted to give Tigers a 4-1 interval lead.

Jake Abbott and Ash Hamdia scored after the break for Staverton, but their goals either side of efforts from Jake Letteboer (penalty), Lewis Harford and a second from Callum McNamee were just consolations.
