DIVISION TWO ROUND UP – WEEK 26

Bishops Cannings Reserves FC 0 Bromham FC 5

With the weather claiming the fixtures of the Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge & District League, Division Two leaders Durrington FC and second placed Avon Valley everything remained the same at the top of the standings.

A 5-0 win for Bromham FC away at Bishops Cannings Reserves means that Pete Waliis side are reeling in both Staverton Rangers and Calne Athletic who are directly above them in the table and with games in hand on both teams could actually move above them should they win those games.

Against Cannings who they beat 2-0 a few weeks ago they were 2-0 up in the opening 15 minutes, Henry Marsh scoring on 9 minutes and Charlie Thomas doubling the lead in the 14th minute.

A Charlie Thomas penalty on 38 minutes gave the hosts a 3-0 half time advantage.

Bromham had to wait until the 67th minute until they added their fourth which came via Jack Angell, the fifth and final goal of the afternoon arrived a few minutes later, Harry Ringwald completed the scoring for 5-0.

Freshford United Reserves FC 3 South Newton & Barford Hornets FC 1

Edmund Little saw his opener for Freshford cancelled out by Connor Dawkins whose goal proved to be just a consolation as a penalty from Dan Sandford gave the hosts a 2-1half time lead and after the break Luka Jovic made it 3-1 to wrap up victory for the home side.
