GREENHALGH & MORTIMER NET IN FRESHFORD CUP WIN

With their first team exiting the Somerset Junior Cup last weekend Freshford United Reserves were hoping to keep the villagers hope of County Cup success alive.

Freshford Reserves were drawn away at Bristol & Suburban League, Fourth division outfit Park Knowle in the Intermediate Cup, who it would be fair to say aren’t in the best of form with just one win from their 6 league outings to date, and that came at the start of the season.

After falling behind, Freshford turned things around to claim a 2-1 win, Frank Greenhalgh got the villagers back on level terms before Reece Mortimer bagged the winner for Freshford.
