ROWEN ANNING INSPIRES DEVIZES COMEBACK
Both Frome Collegians Reserves FC and FC Devizes United opened up their Spring Cup campaign as they fought out an eight goal thriller that saw Devizes come from 3-0 and 4-1 down to salvage a point from an entertaining 4-4 draw.
Frome Collegians looked all set for victory as they took a 3-0 half time lead, Ben Bullus, Mike Pearson and Tom Brown scoring the goals.
Devizes made a change at half time and introduced Rowan Anning who changed the game. Jordan Anning pulled a goal back for Devizes only for Lewis Connor to restore Frome’s three goal cushion.
Kian Fulford grabbed a second for Devizes before his second of the contest narrowed the gap to the odd goal, the comeback was completed by man of the moment Rowan Anning whose first goal for the club squared things up at 4-4 to give both teams a point apiece from the cup encounter.
