TURNER SAVES PENALTY TO DENY MELKSHAM A POINT
Melksham Town Development saw their four match unbeaten run come to an end after they suffered a 2-1loss at Oakfield Stadium after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Trowbridge & District League First Division, leaders Seend United who were indebted to keeper Kieran Turner who saved a second half penalty that could have earned Melksham a share of the points.
Seend broke the deadlock thanks to Jordan Evans, but a revitalized Melksham Development side saw parity restored courtesy of Morgan Akerman. With the game nicely poised, it was Seend who grabbed the initiative ahead of half time thanks to a Joe Lamb effort.
2-1down at the break, Melksham had the chance to get something from a game that they played a part in, however they blew their chance to level matters when the usually reliable Akerman saw his penalty saved by Seend keeper Turner to hand the leaders a fifth win of the season and extend their lead at the top of the table to 5 points over Bradford Town Reserves.

BRADFORD FIGHTBACK TO CLAIM A POINT
Bradford Town Reserves dropped their first points of the season after they were held to a 2-2 draw by a Warminster Town Reserves side who actually had their noses in front on two occasions before letting the hosts back in to claim a share of the spoils.
Hayden Atkins saw his first half opener for Warminster cancelled out by an Arthur Dolan effort which took the teams into the break locked together at 1-apiece.
Matt Mead regained the lead for Warminster Reserves, however for a second time they were unable to keep it as Ben Doughty conjured up an equaliser to earn Bradford a point that although saw their winning start to the season come to an end kept their unbeaten run intact.

PEARSON TREBLE HELP COLLEGIANS SEAL BROMHAM DOUBLE
Just nine days after Frome Collegians Reserves recorded their first league victory of the season with a 3-2 success away at Bromham, the two sides locked horns in the return fixture as the Showfield, Frome and once again it was Collegians who emerged victorious, this time courtesy of a 4-2 success
Dom Walton who scored on his debut in the previous encounter gave Collegians the lead with what was his third goal in two games before Archie Green levelled matters for Bromham. Collegians regained the lead through Mike Pearson in what was his first game for the club and a second from the debutant put the hosts 3-1 up at half time.
Bromham may have been down, but they certainly weren’t out of it and when a second of the afternoon from Archie Green halved the deficit it was game on and although Bromham hunted a third they could find one and any hope of them completing the comeback was ended when Pearson popped up to add a fourth for the hosts and complete his own personal 3-timer on the day.
