SEEND FINISH WITH A WIN & A WALKOVER
Seend United who romped to the Division Two last term had to settle for second best in Division One of the Gooding Accounts sponsored Trowbridge League this season.
Already resigned to the runners up spot to Heytesbury, Andy Dyer’s side were in action on Wednesday evening and were due to be away at Warminster Town Reserves on Saturday afternoon, however due to a shortage of players, Warminster forfeited the match.

In a hastily arranged game, Trowbridge Town Reserves manager Steve Martin managed to secure the pitch at Little Marsh, home of Semington FC to play their final match of the campaign against a Seend United side who were just desperate to get their penultamate fixture done and dusted.
In an evenly contested first half that saw Harry Thorne score for Trowbridge, Mark Reynolds was also on target for Seend to take the teams into the interval at 1-apiece.
The second half saw Seend take the lead through Samuel Dodds and and they made the points safe thanks to a first goal for the club from Jamie Strevens.
