Just one fixture in The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division One this weekend as Trowbridge Town Reserves hosted Warminster Town Reserves.

With Bradford Town ‘A’ having no fixture and Park United involved in cup action, The Lodge and FC Devizes were looking for wins in their games to close the gap at the top of Division Two.

Elsewhere there were two second round matches and two quarter final ties in The PAH Accounting sponsored A & B Cup.

TAYLOR HAT-TRICK WINS IT FOR TROWBRIDGE

In the only match this weekend in The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division One, Trowbridge Town Reserves closed the gap in the league to just one point to Warminster Town Reserves by running out 4 – 2 winners.

Nick Taylor was the star of the show, helping himself to a hat-trick.

Trowbridge’s fourth goal was a bit special as goalkeeper Ovidiu-Andrei Popa scored it directly from a drop kick.

Michael Reaney and Pat Kapelka were both on the scoresheet for Warminster Town Reserves.

Next weekend Trowbridge Town Reserves travel to face Westbury United Reserves while Warminster Town Reserves host Melksham Town Development.
