PARK WIN KEEPS IT TIGHT AT THE TOP

Park United ran out 5 – 2 winners against Freshford United to keep it extremely tight at the top of The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division Two.
A brace apiece from Darrin Moss and Rhys Talmash and a single strike from Zac Hillier lifted Park United up to third place in Division Two, just a point behind The Lodge and Bradford Town ‘A’ with all teams having played five games each.
Dan Birleson and Matt Bond were on the scoresheet for Freshford United.
Next weekend Park United will be hoping to continue their challenge at the top when they visit Heytesbury Reserves while Freshford will be looking to bounce back when they welcome Trowbridge Town Development to their base at Abbey Road.
THE LODGE FC 7 HILPERTON GREYHOUND FC 2
SEVEN UP FOR THE LODGE

The Lodge FC continued their fine unbeaten start to life in The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division Two with a 7 – 2 thumping of Hilperton Greyhound.
Lee Rockingham and Matt Dyer led the way helping themselves to a hat-trick each.
Craig Shepherd also hit one to make up the seven for The Lodge bringing them level at the top of Division Two with Bradford Town ‘A’ who didn’t have a fixture this weekend.
Simon Parfitt with a penalty and header from a corner by Owen Dixon were the replies for Hilperton Greyhound.
Next weekend The Lodge welcome Staverton Rangers to their base at The Land Warfare Centre, Warminster while Hilperton Greyhound travel to Devizes to face Bishops Cannings in the first round of this season Wiltshire Junior Cup in an all Trowbridge and District tie.
TROWBRIDGE TOWN DEVELOPMENT FC 3 DILTON MARSH WANDERERS FC 1
TROWBRIDGE END WANDERERS GOOD RUN

Trowbridge Town Development put a dent in Dilton Marsh Wanderers promotion hopes with an excellent 3 – 1 win in The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division Two.
Nzaar Gimar struck early for Trowbridge Town Development and Cameron Curtis doubled their advantage early in the second half.
Mike Payne pulled one back for Dilton Marsh Wanderers when he converted a penalty.
Wanderers did have chances to equalise but will be rueing missed chances and Trowbridge made sure of the victory ten minutes from time when Harrison Simmonds scored their third to make sure of the points.
Next weekend Trowbridge Town Development travel to face Freshford United in a game that looks hard to call while Dilton Marsh Wanderers have a weekend off.
THE STIFFS FC 2 FC DEVIZES UNITED 5
DEVIZES PICK UP THIRD WIN FROM FOUR

FC Devizes are enjoying a good spell of form and they saw this continue with a 5 – 2 away win at The Stiffs in The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division Two.
The Stiffs did take an early lead through Steve Lewin before FC Devizes turned the tide with goals from Jordan Anning, Cameron Lee and Daniel Durbridge to make it 3 – 1 at the break.
Two more goals from Archie Haggerty and Lewis Hawkins made it 5 – 1 to Devizes before Albert Flores scored a consolation for The Stiffs with 15 minutes to play.
Callum Stone hit the bar for The Stiffs from fully 40 yards out in the dying minutes but couldn’t prevent FC Devizes winning their third game from their four league matches to date.
Next weekend both these teams meet again when they face each other in the first round of The Wiltshire Junior Cup.
BISHOPS CANNINGS FC 4 ACES FC 4
CANNINGS AND ACES SHARE EIGHT GOALS


Bishops Cannings came back from 3 – 1 behind to draw 4 – 4 with Aces FC in an exciting Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division Two match.
Szymon Raczek helped himself to a brace for Cannings with Anthony Freebody and Kieran Chivers also on the scoresheet.
An own goal, a Liam Moffat penalty, Ryan Mortimer and Mike Little were the scorers for Aces in an entertaining match.
Next weekend Bishops Cannings are in Wiltshire Junior Cup action when they host fellow Trowbridge and District League side Hilperton Greyhound.
Aces FC are in league action and they face a difficult test when they host league leaders Bradford Town ‘A’.
HEYTESBURY RESERVES FC 7 STAVERTON RANGERS FC 2
HEYTESBURY RESERVES PICK UP FIRST VICTORY

In the battle of the teams looking for their first win of the season, it was Heytesbury Reserves who came out on top with a 7 – 2 win over Staverton Rangers in The Gooding Accounts Ltd sponsored Division Two.
Bradley Edwards had a day he won’t forget in a hurry, bagging himself four goals.
Dougie Carson, Danny Odonnel and Andy Brunning were the other scorers for Heytesbury Reserves.
Joel Course and Haken Blackmore were on the scoresheet for Staverton Rangers.
Next weekend Heytesbury face a tough test when they host Park United.
Staverton Rangers also face a challenge as they travel to Warminster to play The Lodge FC.
