Hello all 😃
As I’m sure many of you are already aware, my friend Liam took his own life in August 2020. Nobody knew that he was suffering with his mental health until it was too late. Poor mental health affect’s people in so many ways & it’s time to raise awareness & encourage our friends, loved ones & work colleagues etc to speak out if they’re feeling low in mood or struggling to cope.
I’m very excited to announce that after the amazing support shown last year, that we’ve we will be doing another charity football match this year. 🥳
I would just like to thank everyone involved last year. It’s a day that I look back on with immense pride, creating such a fantastic evening in memory of my close friend Liam. We managed to raise a staggering £8000 for ‘Wiltshire Mind’ last year during a global pandemic, which would NOT of been possible if it wasn’t for every single one of YOU who helped, played, attended, donated & supported.
This years event will take place on Saturday the 4th of June at Westbury United football club. At the event, the bar will be open for drinks aswell as beer & cider tents dotted around ground. ‘The Soltice Bar’ will also be returning this year as the boys cocktails were very popular last year! Due to so many people staying after the match, we’ve also decided we’re going to have a big marquee this year & will be playing music for those who want to stick around & make an evening/night of it! 🍹🕺
We will also be organising another raffle which will take place throughout the match over the tannoy! Last years raffle was absolutely amazing, so many fantastic prizes were donated & won. I can’t thank those who donated last year enough. If you’re interested in donating a raffle prize this year, please contact me directly.😊
