In the second half, and now playing down the hill Dilton Marsh Wanderers good football started to pay dividends and with 20 minutes left on the clock a wonder strike from fully 25 yards out from Jake Wheeler gave them a fighting chance.

It was Wheeler who was bundled over in the box late on for Dilton to be awarded their penalty which Rendall duly smashed in for his second goal in two substitute appearances for the visitors.

With their tails up Dilton Marsh had an excellent chance to win the game late on, but Wheeler’s shot was brilliantly tipped around the post by the Owls keeper just before the final whistle.
