WILTSHIRE JUNIOR CUP – QUARTER FINAL

Division One leaders The Duke FC held the torch for The Trowbridge and District Football League as sole representatives in the last eight of The Wiltshire Junior Cup when they faced Porton Sports FC this weekend.

THE DUKE MARCH INTO LAST FOUR

Trowbridge and District league leaders The Duke FC stormed into the Semi-Finals of the Wiltshire Junior Cup with an excellent 4 – 3 victory against Porton Sports FC.

A screamer from Gary Tugwell opened the scoring for The Duke before Porton Sports levelled the tie.

Prolific striker Drew Adams then took over for The Trowbridge League side scoring two to put The Duke 3 – 1 ahead.

To their credit Porton Sports fought back to reduce the deficit to one goal but The Duke were not to be denied a last four place in the competition as Mathew Friendship scored the fourth to secure the win and the coveted semi-final place.
