On the last weekend before the Christmas break four games took place in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One with title favourites The Duke welcoming Westbury United Reserves to their home on Bratton Road.

WESTBURY END DUKES UNBEATEN RUN

Westbury United Reserves will head into the Christmas break on the back of an excellent 2 – 1 win over The Duke FC to end their hosts league unbeaten record.
First half strikes from Max Bishop and Cam Dawes gave Westbury United Reserves a 2 – 0 lead at the break.
The Duke FC tried to stage a comeback in the second half and reduced the deficit by one through Joe Edwards, but Westbury held firm to collect all the points.
Despite this defeat The Duke FC remain title favourites in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One, requiring 4 points from their remaining 3 league games.
Westbury United Reserves have just one game remaining in the league and will be hopeful of finishing as high as third place.
SEMINGTON MAGPIES 5 HEYTESBURY 0
MAGUIRE HAT-TRICK SINKS HEYTESBURY

In form Semington Magpies picked up their third league win in a row with a confident 5 – 0 humbling of Heytesbury FC to enter the Christmas celebrations on a high.
Mark Maguire led the way for The Magpies, helping himself to a hat-trick. Alfie Little and Alex Shaftoe then added a goal each.
Heytesbury still sit in third place in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One but have completed their league season so will be looking over their shoulders in the new year as rivals Semington Magpies and Westbury United Reserves both have games to play and can both claim the position.
Heytesbury will also be looking for quick revenge as they entertain Semington Magpies when football returns on 8th January in the next round of The Knockout Cup sponsored by Chantry Digital Ltd.

BACK-TO-BACK WINS FOR STAVERTON

Staverton Rangers head into the Christmas break on a high after a 3 – 1 win from their visit to Melksham Town Development in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One.
Goals from Dean Gumm, William Dolan and Wiktor Wnuk gave Staverton Rangers back-to-back league victories for the first time this season.
Tom Dowell was on the scoresheet for Melksham Town Development.
MARSHFIELD 4 FRESHFORD UNITED 1
MARSHFIELD EASE TO COMFORTABLE VICTORY

Marshfield FC continued their good form with a comfortable 4 – 1 win against bottom club Freshford United to enter the festive break in high spirits.
Matt Harvey had a productive afternoon helping himself to a brace with James Gardner scoring a third. Marshfield fourth goal was an own goal.
Dan Sandford scored the consolation for Freshford United from the penalty spot.
The win leaves Marshfield secure in mid-table in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One with Freshford United adrift on the bottom.
HILPERTON UNITED v WARMINSTER TOWN RESERVES – HOME WIN

Hilperton United were awarded the points in their scheduled match against Warminster Town Reserves.
Unfortunately, Warminster Town Reserves couldn’t raise a team this weekend.
