A tough weekend for The Trowbridge and District League as out of the six teams who represented the league in the third round of The Wiltshire Junior Cup, only The Duke FC progressed into the last eight of the competition.

MEAD HAT-TRICK HELPS DUKE INTO LAST EIGHT

A hat-trick from Matt Mead helped The Duke FC into the last eight of The Wiltshire Junior Cup as they beat fellow Trowbridge and District side Dilton Marsh Wanderers 7 – 0.
Two further goals from Drew Adams and one each from Mark Young and Jack Hayward made up the seven for the Division One leaders against their lower division opponents.

A goal from Corey Gant proved to be just not enough for Semington Magpies this weekend as they narrowly lost to Blunsdon FC 2 – 1 in this third-round tie of The Wiltshire Junior Cup.
K O PLASTERING FC 4 HEYTESBURY 1
HEYTESBURY FAIL TO GET PLASTERED

Heytesbury FC hopes of progressing into the last eight of The Wiltshire Junior Cup were dashed by Swindon side K O Plastering. The Trowbridge and District side lost 4 – 1 in this third-round match.
Jake Wright with a first half penalty was the scorer for The Trowbridge and District team.
POLTON SPORTS FC 4 POTTERNE FC 1
ROSSITER STRIKE NOT ENOUGH FOR POTTERNE

Potterne FC will have to concentrate on promotion from The Trowbridge and District Division Two after a 4 – 1 defeat to Polton Sports this weekend.
Andy Rossiter scored the consolation goal for Potterne.

THE STIFFS OUT OF THE CUP

The Stiffs had a long afternoon and a long trip home as they bowed out of The Wiltshire Junior Cup, losing 7 – 1 to Tisbury United.
