A right footed penalty, a header from a corner and a left foot finish from a superb Liam Milburn cross was the icing on the cake for Hilperton United who are level on points at the top of the division with The Duke FC but have played two games more than their rivals.

Former Hilperton goalkeeper Kierran Ramsey staked his intentions to keep on playing up front with his second goal in three weeks for Hilperton’s fourth of the afternoon.

HEYTESBURY HELD BY FRESHFORD UNITED

Freshford United are still looking for their first win of the season in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One but can take a lot of confidence in holding third placed Heytesbury FC to a 1 – 1 draw.

Jake Owen was on the scoresheet for Heytesbury with the Freshford goal being an own goal.

Adam Fearon was the unlucky Heytesbury player who scored past his own keeper.

Heytesbury remain in third place in the table after this result but are only a point ahead of fourth placed Westbury United Reserves and have played two games more.

MARSHFIELD 0 SEMINGTON MAGPIES 5

MAGPIES FLY BACK TO WINNING WAYS

After not having played any football since 30th October you could be forgiven for thinking Semington Magpies would be a bit rusty but that couldn’t be further from the truth as they ran out convincing 5 – 0 winners against Marshfield FC.

James Cox led the way for Semington with a hat-trick with Jamie Phillips and Dave Percival scoring one each.

The win leaves Semington in fifth place in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One, a more than comfortable 12 points ahead of Marshfield who are sixth.
