This weekend the matches started on Friday evening with Westbury United Reserves playing hosts to title contenders Hilperton United under the lights at Meadow Lane in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One.

TITLE CHALLENGERS KEEP UP THE PRESSURE

Hilperton United kept the pressure on at the top of The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One with a 7 – 1 win against Westbury United Reserves to end their hosts four game winning run.

Luke Murden had an excellent game for Hilperton scoring a hat-trick, one of which was a lovely dink over the keeper after some fine one touch approach play.

Second half substitute Ryan Underwood scored two goals with Finn Young adding another and Hilperton’s seventh being an own goal.

Tyler Gane was on the scoresheet for Westbury United Reserves who will be looking to return to winning ways next Friday evening (19th) when they visit Warminster Town Reserves.

SIX OF THE BEST FROM THE DUKE

After seeing Hilperton United winning the previous evening The Duke FC went into this match against Warminster Town Reserves knowing only a good win would be enough.

With two goals from Drew Adams and one apiece from Matt Friendship, Ash Easton, Jack Hayward and Jono Hogarth, The Duke FC kept up their unbeaten record with a 6 – 0 victory.

Ben Cooper also had an excellent game in goal for The Duke with a brilliant penalty save.

This result keeps The Duke in pole position for The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One title as they are now level on points with Hilperton United but have played two games less than their rivals.


HEYTESBURY 3 STAVERTON RANGERS 0

DEBUT GOAL FOR WELCH SEALS HEYTESBURY VICTORY

A goal on his debut, nine minutes from time by Adam Welch helped to give Heytesbury a first league win in four games with a 3 – 0 victory over Staverton Rangers.

Adrian Vintileanu gave Heytesbury the perfect start after nine minutes with a 40-yard screamer into the top corner.

Jake Owen was also on the scoresheet scoring Heytesbury’s second just before half-time.

This win lifts Heytesbury back into third position in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One.
