WILTSHIRE JUNIOR CUP – 2nd ROUND
The Wiltshire Junior Cup 2nd round took place this weekend with ten teams from The Trowbridge and District League taking part and the pick of the ties was Division Two runaway leaders Seend United hosting Division One title hopefuls Heytesbury FC.

HEYTESBURY WIN THROUGH TO END SEENDS PERFECT RUN

Seend United had a taste of what life may be like next season as they hosted Division One side Heytesbury in The Wiltshire Junior Cup, and the runaway leaders from Division Two finally saw their perfect season come to a stop with Heytesbury running out 4 – 2 winners.
Goals from Adi Vintileanu, Sam Wright, Jake Wright and Bradley Edwards saw Heytesbury safely through to the next round.
Matt Purdy scored a brace for Seend United who will be expecting to return to winning ways in the league next weekend.
THE DUKE FC 5 CRICKLADE TOWN FC 2
THE DUKE SAFELY THROUGH TO NEXT ROUND

A brace from Sam McQueen helped The Duke FC maintain their excellent season as they saw off Cricklade Town 5 – 2 to see them safely through to the next round of The Wiltshire Junior Cup.
Drew Adams, Matt Mead and Tom Blackman were also on the scoresheet for The Trowbridge and District Division One side.

Semington Magpies are through to the next round of The Wiltshire Junior Cup as unfortunately Redlynch & Woodfalls United were unable to field a team this weekend.
STAVERTON UNITED 3 SWINDON AFC 3 – SWINDON AFC WIN 5 – 4 ON PENALTIES
PENALTY HEARTBREAK FOR STAVERTON

Staverton Rangers will consider themselves unlucky as they lost to Swindon AFC on penalties in The Wiltshire Junior Cup.
In an excellent game that finished 3 – 3 after normal time Staverton Rangers goals were scored by Arthur Dolan, Haken Blackmore and Kieran Green
ALDERBURY FC 7 BROMHAM OWLS 1
OWLS OUT OF JUNIOR CUP

Bromham Owls had a long afternoon and an even longer trip home after crashing out of The Wiltshire Junior Cup, losing 7 – 1 to Alderbury FC.
Adam Butterworth was on the scoresheet for Bromham Owls.

HUNTLEY BRACE HELPS POTTERNE THROUGH

Potterne FC are through to the next round of The Wiltshire Junior Cup after beating Sherston Town 3 – 2.
Ash Huntley led the way for The Trowbridge and District Football League side, helping himself to a brace with Alex Surman scoring the third to see Potterne into the next round.
NATIONWIDE FC 5 CALNE EAGLES 1
EAGLES BOW OUT OF JUNIOR CUP

Calne Eagles bowed out of The Wiltshire Junior Cup as they lost 5 – 1 to Swindon side Nationwide FC. The Eagles goal was scored by George Dolman.
DILTON MARSH WANDERERS 2 PRIORY VALE 1
PAYNE DOUBLE WINS IT FOR WANDERERS

A Mikey Payne brace saw Dilton Marsh Wanderers into the next round of The Wiltshire Junior Cup as they saw off Swindon side Priory Vale with a 2 – 1 win.
Wanderers were leading 2 – 0 before a late strike from Priory Vale made for a nervous few minutes but The Trowbridge and District side held on for the win.
