DIVISION ONE ROUND UP FOR 30th OCTOBER

The games of the day in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One saw league leaders The Duke FC pay a visit to third placed Heytesbury FC. and second placed Hilperton facing a tough visit to Staverton Rangers.

ADAMS HITS HAT-TRICK AS THE DUKE MARCH ON

A brilliant hat-trick and man-of-the-match performance from Drew Adams helped The Duke FC to a 5 – 2 win from their visit to fellow title hopefuls Heytesbury FC to keep up their unbeaten record at the top of The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One.

Heytesbury took the lead through Jake Wright before strikes from Jack Hayward, Drew Adams with his first and Gary Tugwell gave The Duke a 3 – 1 lead at the break.

In the second half Adams grabbed his second before Heytesbury pulled one back from the spot courtesy of Reece Collyer.

Adams topped off a brilliant performance with his third before the end to secure the points for The Duke FC.


STAVERTON RANGERS 1 HILPERTON UNITED 2

HILPERTON UNITED FIGHT FOR WIN AGAINST RANGERS

A 2 – 1 win from their visit to Staverton Rangers kept Hilperton United within touching distance to The Duke at the top of The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One.

Goals from Adam Mercer and Luke Murden keep Hilperton United just three points off the lead at the top of the table albeit having played a game more.

Kieran Green scored the goal for Staverton Rangers who made Hilperton fight all the way for the points this weekend.


WESTBURY UNITED RESERVES 2 SEMINGTON MAGPIES 1

WESTBURY RESERVES CLOSE GAP TO MAGPIES

Westbury United Reserves moved to within one point of Semington Magpies with two games in hand of their rivals after this 2 – 1 victory in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division One.

Tyler Gane and an own goal saw Westbury take the points and take their winning run to three games in a row, ending back-to-back wins for the Magpies.

Alex Shaftoe was on the scoresheet for Semington Magpies.


MARSHFIELD 5 MELKSHAM TOWN DEVELOPMENT 1

FIFTH WIN ON BOUNCE FOR IN-FORM MARSHFIELD

In-form Marshfield beat Melksham Town Development 5 – 1 this weekend to earn their fifth win on the trot in all competitions this season.

James Gardner led the way with a brace, with goals apiece from Jeremy Bond, Ben Morris and Callum Duckett making up the five to keep Marshfield comfortably sitting in mid-table.

FRESHFORD UNITED 1 WARMINSTER TOWN RESERVES 5

ATKINS DOUBLE LEADS WARMINSTER TO VICTORY

A brace from Hayden Atkins led the way to a 5 – 1 win for Warminster Town Reserves to ease their relegation fears and leave Freshford United still looking for a first league win this season.

Seb Hounsell, Tom Ball and a penalty from Matt Dyer scored the other goals to earn Warminster Town Reserves their third league win of the season.

Freshford United’s reply was scored by Fynn Macarthy Driver.
