PERFECT 10 FOR SEEND UNITED

Seend United made it a perfect 10 in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division Two with a 5 – 0 win over Shrewton Town Development.

Two goals from Mark Reynolds and one each from Derek Wheeler, Matt Purdy and Charlie Waylen secured a tenth straight victory for the runaway leaders.

SEVEN UP FOR PROMOTION CHASING POTTERNE

The chase for the second promotion spot in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division Two is warming up nicely and Potterne are looking to be in the mix, moving up into second place with a 7 – 1 win against The Stiffs.

Wayne House led the way with a hat-trick, with a brace from Alex Surman and one each from Andy Rossiter and Tom Lye completing the scoring. Ben Fielding was on the scoresheet for The Stiffs.


WESTBURY UNITED ‘A’ 1 CALNE EAGLES 3

WELCH STARS IN EAGLES WIN

An Adam Welch brace helped Calne Eagles to a fourth win of the season in a 3 – 1 victory against Westbury United ‘A’ to keep The Eagles perched nicely in fifth place in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division Two.

Westbury United ‘A’ had the better of the first half and Harry Trevor gave them the lead with a great finish hit across the Eagles keeper. Calne managed to get on level terms soon after with Welch’s first goal of the afternoon to take the teams in level at the break. Eagles had a much better second half and a Dale Rowland cross come shot gave them the lead. Adam Welch then missed a penalty for The Eagles but made up for it towards the end, getting on the end of a Rowland cross to slot home his second and his teams third to secure the points.


DILTON MARSH WANDERERS 0 ACES FC 4

SMART AND CLAUDIA ARE ACES IN THE PACK

Two goals apiece from Junior Smart and Saba Claudia gave Aces FC their second win in three games with a 4 – 0 win from their visit to Dilton Marsh Wanderers.

In a very tight game both teams struggled to get any consistency, but Aces seem to adapt better, and Smart gave them the lead with his first right on half time.

In the second half Aces looked the more threatening while remaining tight at the back and on the hour mark Smart hit his second of the afternoon with an overhead cycle-kick from outside the box. Saba Claudia then grabbed his brace in the 75th and 80th minutes to give Aces a comfortable victory.

SECOND HALF FIGHT BACK GIVES TROWBRIDGE HEADS UP

Two second half headers from Jorin Goodwin and Andrew Slater gave Trowbridge Town Reserves a second league victory of the season in The Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories sponsored Division Two with a 2 – 1 win from their visit to Bradford Town ‘A’.

Tyler Robinson was on the scoresheet in the first half for Bradford Town ‘A’ who remain at the foot of the table.
